The SYSTEM70 is a fully automated medical waste processor that simultaneously shreds and disinfects clinical and medical waste; reducing its volume by up to 90 percent, and rendering it non-infectious by using an EPA-registered disinfectant. The SYSTEM70 can process medical waste, including sharps, clinical waste bags, dialysis filters, surgical waste, suction canisters, surgical tubing, tissues, organic waste, whole blood units, glass and labware. The SYSTEM70 is designed especially for easy, plug-n-play installation within existing soiled linen or biohazardous waste storage rooms. With an automatic cycle of 20 minutes, the System70 is one of the fastest medical waste processors in the industry.

The SYSTEM70 incorporates non-incineration, CleanAir chemical disinfection technology. The SYSTEM70 has been validated as a STAATT Level III compliant treatment technology. The SYSTEM70 uses an EPAregistered disinfectant for safe and effective on-site waste treatment. The SYSTEM70 is the larger model within the SteriMed product line of medical waste processors. The SYSTEM70 incorporates an integrated active de-watering separator unit that automatically removes the freeliquids in the treated, shredded waste, prior to disposal into the waste receptacle.
